Browns in Town to provide Christmas Dinners for Ambulance Service Staff Working on December 25
Most of us will spend Christmas Day opening our presents, watching festive TV and tucking into a scrumptious turkey dinner with all the trimmings, but what about those who work in the emergency services? For many of them, it’s work as normal and that precious time with family will have to wait until later.
Ian Orr, a highly respected and multi-award winning chef has offered them a gesture of goodwill, his team at Browns in Town will provide Ambulance Service staff working on Christmas Day a fabulous traditional Christmas dinner to enjoy on their lunch/dinner break.
Laura Coulter, West Division Area Manager said: “NIAS staff provide emergency and urgent care in the local community 24/7, 365 days a year and Christmas is no different in that we will be extremely busy ensuring that we provide the best care possible for our patients. For those who are working on Christmas Day it is tough to be away from their families at this special time so we are very grateful for anything that makes the day a little bit special.”
Ian Orr, Chef Patron of Browns Bonds Hill Collection urges everyone to spare a thought for the dedicated emergency services staff who will be treating patients December 25. “We are thrilled that we have been able to make this gesture for staff working in the ambulance service and we hope this makes their day that little more festive.” Ian added: “While you unwrap your presents or gather round with your family to eat your own Christmas dinner, we would ask you take a minute to think of the emergency service staff across the city, who will be working over the festive period to save lives and care for those in need.”
